How can I file a complaint with DCP?

To file a consumer complaint with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP):

  • Filing a Complaint Online: Visit eLicense portal. Register/log in before starting your complaint. Navigate to the file a complaint section. Choose the complaint type and enter the business information.
  • Filing a Paper Complaint: Download and complete the Complaint Form PDF in English, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, or Mandarin. Then, email the form to dcp.complaints@ct.gov, fax it to 860-707-1966, or mail it to the Department of Consumer Protection, 450 Columbus Blvd, Suite 901, Hartford, CT 06103.

Note: Include all receipts and documents. Keep copies for your records. Anonymous complaints are accepted but may limit the potential for investigation.
