Bryan T. Cafferelli

Bryan Cafferelli became the Commissioner of the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) in March 2023. He brings a rich background in legal and policy roles to his position.

He served as legal counsel for the Connecticut Senate Republican Office and worked as a drug control attorney within the DCP. These roles have given him a strong grasp of legislative processes and consumer protection laws.

Mr. Cafferelli’s focus on managing prescription drug enforcement cases shows his dedication to public health and safety. His educational background includes degrees in political science and law. Having this experience and knowledge allows him to guide the DCP in protecting consumers' rights.

Monday to Friday (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Closed on Saturdays and Sundays

Self-serve walk-in center:
Document drop-off (walk-in center drop box). Completed applications may be dropped off for processing. While some forms are available onsite, we recommend printing them in advance.
