Carla Ratti, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Carla Ratti, Ph.D., BCBA-D joined the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) in 2001 as a Behavior Analyst and Psychologist during the height of active oversight by the Department of Justice at Southbury Training School (STS). In 2012, Dr. Ratti was appointed Director of Psychological and Behavioral Services at STS.
Prior to her arrival in Connecticut, Dr. Ratti developed and directed a continuum of services for persons with intellectual disabilities and behavioral challenges in the State of Texas.  This clinical service continuum ranged from acute behavioral stabilization to short-term behavioral treatment programs for persons at risk for institutionalization, including programmed transition back to community-based settings. The care continuum was maintained with community-based behavioral outreach services in the home, work and school settings to ensure generalization and maintenance of learned skills.
Dr. Ratti earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University and her Doctoral degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.  She completed her Doctoral research in developmental disabilities in the Behavioral Neurology Department at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center in Waltham, Massachusetts. Dr. Ratti holds licenses to practice Psychology in Connecticut and Texas. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral level.  She has previously served as President of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis and she has been a faculty member at University of Texas--Mental Sciences Institute and the University of Houston--Clear Lake.
