Transportation Services are offered to enable you to get to your place of employment or community-based day supports. This may include agency provided transportation, pre -purchased bus tickets / paratransit bus passes, or private transportation. Payment per mile is made for a maximum of one round trip daily. Wheelchair accessible transportation is paid at a higher rate only if you require the use of a wheelchair accessible vehicle
Bus – CT has local bus systems in Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, Waterbury, New Britain, Bristol, Meriden and Wallingford, and operates them under the CTtransit brand name.
Ridesharing – travel in a private vehicle driven by its owner, usually for a fee, as a part of an arrangement made using a website or app.
Train System – Passenger rail service in Connecticut is supported by CTDOT and consists of three main lines and three branch lines: The New Haven Line that has three branch lines that extend to New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury, Shore Line East and The Hartford Line.

Travel Training – A statewide program run by The Kennedy Center that will teach you how to safely use public transportation. The program is funded by the CT Department of Transportation. There is no cost for the training program however, each participant is required to pay the bus or train fare while training is taking place.

Vanpooling - A vanpool consists of 4 to 15 people traveling together in a recent model van or SUV with low mileage leased from Enterprise. Members of a vanpool share all monthly expenses.
