About the Waterford Family Respite Center
The George Street home is able to accommodate six individuals. There are two double bedrooms and three single bedrooms. While the home is a two-story one, there are several bedrooms on the first-floor, which are barrier-free. There is a large living room/dining room/kitchen area, specialized bathing facilities and a nice enclosed porch for watching the sunsets over the Niantic River Bay. Additionally, there’s a large yard for providing all types of recreational activities to make an individual’s respite visit even more vacation-like.
Individuals visiting the Waterford Family Respite Center have easy access to the Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, the Connecticut Children’s Museum, Camp Harkness, many picnic sites and the beautiful beaches along the Eastern Connecticut shoreline.
