Camp Harkness is located in Southeastern Connecticut on the shores of Long Island Sound. The 102-acre property in Waterford, CT, has open and wooded land. It also features a beachfront and a tidal marsh.

It is one of the few state parks in the country that is just for people with disabilities and their families and friends.

Camp Harkness is open year-round although many of the programs and facilities are seasonal. Camp Harkness is owned by the State of Connecticut and managed by the Department of Developmental Services.

Get or Access a Camp Pass Card
Any Connecticut resident with a disability can get a Camp Harkness Pass. Passholders are allowed 5 guests and 2 cars.

Kitchen, Grill, and Dining Hall Info
The kitchen is for professional use only. The dining hall and gas grill can be reserved for large groups and agencies - just contact our team.
Can I bring my dogs to Camp Harkness?
We do not allow dogs on the grounds from Memorial Day to Labor Day. No pets are permitted in the cabins or cottages at any time.
