Nighttime Lane Closure Scheduled On Route 7 In Wilton On December 12, 2006
Wilton, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that there will be a nighttime lane closure on Route 7 between School Road and Old Danbury Road, on the night of December 12, 2006, from 9:30pm to 6:00am. There will be alternating one-way traffic through the work zone and Wilton police will be on site for traffic control during this time. The closure is necessary for soil boring on the bridge over the Norwalk River and will take place, weather permitting.
The work is part of the overall project to widen Route 7 in Wilton that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
