NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 10 and SR 511 (Hooker Road), in Southington/Plainville. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, September 24, 2007 and continue to Saturday,October 6, 2007.
This project will take place on Route 10, from River Street to Route 372 and on SR 511 (Hooker Road), from Route 10 to Route 72 southbound (Farmington Avenue).
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Friday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
