NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 137 (Washington Blvd.) from Route 1 to just north of West Broad Street, in Stamford. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, August 29, 2007 and continue to Friday, September, 7 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
