NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 153 and SR 604 (Westbrook Road), in Essex.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, October 9, 2007 and continue through Monday, October 29, 2007.

This project will take place on Route 153 from just south of Pettipaug Road to the Essex Town Line and on SR 604 from Route 153 to Main Street.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mondays - Saturdays).  No work will take place on Sundays.
