NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 190, in Enfield. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, September 17, 2007 and continue through Friday, October 12, 2007.
The project will take place on a 2-mile section of Route 190 from the east end of the bridge over the Connecticut River to Palomba Drive, including the Route 5 and Pearl Street ramps.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Friday evenings). No work will be performed on Sundays.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
