NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 30, in Ellington. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Friday, October 12, 2007 and continue through Tuesday, October 16, 2007.
This project will take place on Route 30 from the Tolland Town Line to Route 140 (Sandy Beach Road) and from Hillsdale Road to Route 74.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
