NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Scupper & Drain Cleaning project will be performed on I-84 (eastbound & westbound) between Exits 40 and 53, in Hartford. This project is scheduled to take place on Sunday October 14, 2007, Saturday October 20, 2007 and Sunday, October 21, 2007.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Saturday and Sundays).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
