Start of 2008 Construction for Relocated Route 72
Bristol, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced construction work on the Relocation of Route 72 in Bristol and Plainville is scheduled to resume in full, with work beginning in the following areas:
The reconstruction of King Street, Broad Street and Mountain Roadwill begin around April 7, 2008. This work will require nighttime lane closures, generally between 8 P.M. and 6 A.M.
Work on Central Street in Bristol and at the intersection of West Main Street and Forestville Avenue in Plainville, will also begin on April 7, 2008. This work will involve lane closures between 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. at each location.
Utility relocation work on Pine Streetwill begin in the near future with the installation of new utility poles.
Motorists are urged proceed with caution and obey the posted speed limits when traveling through this and all other construction zones.
