NEWINGTON, Conn.-Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Highway Illumination Repair project will be performed on I-84 (eastbound & westbound) between Exits 50 and 48 in Hartford.  This project is scheduled to take place on or about Saturday, May 17, 2008 & Saturday, May 31, 2008. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Saturdays). 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
