· The Department of Transportation announced today, that beginning Wednesday, September 3, 2008, nighttime reconstruction work is scheduled to begin on the bridge carrying Routes 5 & 15 over Wolcott Hill Road in Wethersfield.
· Body of the Message: Wethersfield, Connecticut – The Department of Transportation announced today, that beginning Wednesday, September 3, 2008, nighttime reconstruction work is scheduled to begin on the bridge carrying Routes 5 & 15 over Wolcott Hill Road in Wethersfield. The work will involve milling off the paved surface, repairing the concrete bridge deck, repaving the surface and installing new bridge joints. This nighttime work is scheduled to be completed by November 30, 2008.
During this period, traffic may be reduced to a single lane in each direction on Route 5 & 15, between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:00 am weeknights and at anytime during the weekend.
Work on this $3.8 million project is being performed by Mohawk Northeast of Newington, Connecticut under contract with the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The anticipated completion date of this project is in April 2008.
Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and proceed with caution through this and all other construction work zones.
