NEWINGTON, Conn. - Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that Paving Prep work will be performed on I-84 (eastbound and westbound) from Exit 68 to the Mass. State Line in Tolland, Willington, Ashford and Union. This project is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 & Wednesday, June 4, 2008 (eastbound) & on Thursday, June 5, 2008 & Tuesday, June 10, 2008 (westbound).

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Tuesday - Thursday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
