Has Been Postponed
Wilton, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that the traffic switch on Route 33 (Ridgefield Road) that was scheduled to begin on or about Monday, February 18, 2008, has been postponed for the upcoming construction season. Instead, work will focus on widening and reconstructing Route 7, northbound and southbound from Wolfpit Road to Route 33 and School Road to Olmstead Hill Road.
The work is part of the overall project to widen Route 7 in Wilton that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
Please use caution and follow the posted speed limit when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
