Bridge Inspection – Route 136 (Bridge Street) over the Saugatuck River Between Imperial Avenue and Riverside Avenue in Westport.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a routine bridge inspection will be performed on Route 136 (Bridge Street) over the Saugatuck River between Imperial Avenue and Riverside Avenue in Westport.
Route 136 (Bridge Street) will be closed to traffic during the inspection process. The inspection will take place on Monday, May 18, 2009, weather permitting. A detour will be in place during the inspection process.
The work schedule for the inspection is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The detour will be in effect during the work hours only.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
