Bridge Inspection – Tomlinson Bridge - US Route 1 (Forbes Avenue) Between East Street and Stiles Street in New Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that routine bridge inspection work will be performed on the Tomlinson Bridge on US Route 1 (Forbes Ave) between East Street and Stiles Street in New Haven. Route 1 (Forbes Avenue) in the vicinity of the Tomlinson Bridge will be closed to traffic during the inspection process. This project is scheduled to take place on May 19, 2009 through May 21, 2009, weather permitting.
The work schedule for this project is 9:00 AM to 3.00 PM. A detour route will be established around this location and will be in effect during the scheduled work hours only.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
