Bridge Inspection on I-95 (southbound) between Exits 86 and 84 in Groton/New London (Gold Star Memorial Bridge)
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge inspection work will be performed on I-95 (southbound) between Exits 86 and 84 between Groton and New London over the Thames River (Gold Star Memorial Bridge). This project is scheduled to take place from Monday September 21 through Friday September 25, 2009.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
