The Department of Transportation announced today that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-84 (eastbound) between Exits 43 and 44 in West Hartford.  This project is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.  The rain date would be Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (Tuesday evening).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
