Nighttime Bridge Work to Commence for the Reconstruction of Route 15 Southbound Off-Ramp Bridge to Brainard Road, Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing nighttime lane restrictions on Route 15 associated with the reconstruction of the bridge (Bridge No. 00814) on the southbound off-ramp from Route 15 to Brainard Road in Hartford. The work is part of a contract awarded to the Arborio Corporation, in Cromwell, Ct.

Traffic will be restricted on Route 15 in the Northbound and Southbound directions between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am. Southbound, a well-delineated alternate route will be in effect on Friday, July 31st, 2009, Monday, August 3rd, and Tuesday, August 4th, 2009, between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am. Additionally, a 10-minute halt of traffic will be allowed between the hours of 12:01 am and 05:00 am for the setting of new structural steel.

Motorists should expect traffic delays.

Connecticut State Police will be onsite to facilitate traffic through the work zone.

Construction signing will be in use throughout the construction area, and the posted speed limits will be enforced.

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and proceed with caution through this and all other construction work zones.
