The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a railroad crossing repair project will be performed on Governor’s Highway that will require lane closures of the Route 5 (southbound) left turn lane and the Route 5 (northbound) right turn lane onto Governor’s Highway as well as the closure of Governor’s Highway in South Windsor.  The road will be closed from 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 and will reopen sometime before 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009.  A posted detour will be in effect. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. 

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
