Reconstruction of Prospect Street Bridge over P&W Railroad and Pearl Street Bridge over P&W Railroad in Middletown
The Department of Transportation announced today beginning May 8, 2009 work associated with the Reconstruction of Bridge No. 04032, Pearl Street and Bridge No.04031, Prospect Street over Providence & Worcester Railroad in the city of Middletown will begin.
In conjunction with this work, Pearl Street will be closed to thru traffic between Spring Street and Grand Street beginning May 8, 2009. A detour will be setup using the following streets: Spring Street, High Street and Grand Street.
The anticipated completion date for the Pearl Street Bridge is November 30, 2009. Project work will continue during the 2010 construction season on the Prospect Street Bridge.
The construction contract was awarded on April 24, 2009, to ROTHA Contracting Company, Inc of Avon, Connecticut for $6,799,628.
