The State Department of Transportation announced today that the schedule for the ongoing milling and resurfacing project being performed on I-84 (eastbound) between Exits 30 and 32 in Southington has been revised. This project is expected to continue through Thursday, October 29, 2009 with revised project work hours.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings), 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Friday evenings) and 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
