Route 15 Southbound - West Rock Tunnel Closure in New Haven/Woodbridge Scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 2009
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that graffiti removal will be performed on the West Rock Tunnel on Route 15 (southbound) requiring the closure of the tunnel between Exits 58 and 60 in New Haven/Woodbridge. The northbound side of the tunnel will remain open and will have alternating traffic. This project is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 3, 2009, between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. (Thursday evening).
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
