Setting of Bridge Steel for Hollow Tree Ridge Road over I-95 in Darien Scheduled For Thursday, September 10, 2009
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the contractor is scheduled to set the structural steel as part of the work for the replacement of the Hollow Tree Ridge Road Bridge over Interstate 95 in the town of Darien.
Interstate 95 traffic will be halted for up to 10 minutes while the steel is moved onto the bridge structure. The work is scheduled for Thursday morning, September 10, 2009 between the hours of 12 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Slow moving roadblocks will be used to facilitate the halting of traffic on I-95 and pedestrian access during this time and motorists can expect significant delays in the area.
Interstate 95 lane closure information
Northbound - 10 p.m.
Southbound - 9 p.m.
The contract was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $5,159,874.50 and is scheduled to be completed in May of 2010.
