The State Department of Transportation is announcing that a Water Main Installation project will be performed on Route 148 from High Street to Main Street in Chester.   This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8, 2009 and continue through Friday, June 19, 2009. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The work schedule for this project is: June 8, 9 and 10, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and June 11-19, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).   

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. 

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
