Water Main Installation - Route 148 from Pleasant Street to North Main Street, Chester
The State Department of Transportation is announcing that a water main installation project will be performed on Route 148 from Pleasant Street to North Main Street in Chester. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, July 20, 2009 and continue through Friday, July 31, 2009. A portion of Straits Road and Spring Street will be closed and a posted detour will be in effect.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
