Water Main Installation - Route 148 from Pleasant Street to North Main Street Including Sections of Ridge Road, Straits Road and Spring Street in Chester

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a water main installation project will be performed on Route 148 from Pleasant Street to North Main Street including sections of Ridge Road, Straits Road and Spring Street in Chester. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 24, 2009 and continue through Friday, August 28, 2009.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
