Whalley Avenue (Route 63) in the vicinity of Route 69 to be Reduced to One Lane in Each Direction For Box Culvert Installation Beginning Tuesday, January 12, 2010
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Whalley Avenue from Glenview Terrace to Westerleigh Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 9 AM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 for installation of a box culvert. Completion of this work is scheduled for April 1, 2010.
The contractor will be working in the road to install a section of 7’ X 3’ box culvert and junction box. This will require closure of one northbound lane, and a shift of one northbound and one southbound lane to the west. This alignment will remain in effect continuously for the duration of this stage of work.
The work is part of DOT Project No. 0092-0547, for the reconstruction of Route 63 (
