Installation of Traffic Control Signals at Various Locations in the Towns of Plymouth, Ridgefield, Naugatuck, and Waterbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of a project on May 28, 2010 for the installation of new traffic signals at various intersections in towns of Plymouth, Ridgefield, Naugatuck, and Waterbury, Connecticut.
The traffic control signals will be installed at:
- Intersection of S.R. 847 (Waterbury Road) & S.R. 847 (South Main Street) at Sheridan Drive in Waterbury/Naugatuck
- Intersection of Route 6 (Main Street) at Prospect Street in Plymouth
- Intersection of Route 7 (Ethan Allen Highway) at Depot Road & Route 102 (Branchville Road) in Ridgefield
- Intersection of Route 35 (Danbury Road) at Limestone Road and Haviland Road in Ridgefield.
Motorists can expect various lanes to be closed at the intersections listed above between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Delays to traffic should be minimal.
The contract was awarded to The NYCONN Corp. on October 28, 2009 at a cost of $525,000.00 and is scheduled to be completed in July, 2010.
