Lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in New Haven scheduled for February 22, through February 25, 2010
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime lane closures will occur on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Kimberly Avenue / Ella T. Grasso Boulevard Interchange (Exit 44) and Frontage Road (Exit 51) in New Haven. The closures will occur between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM, Monday, February 22, 2010 through Thursday, February 25, 2010, weather permitting. The lane closures are necessary for preparation of steel erection for the new Route 34 Flyover Bridge and I-95 roadway survey for the new Q-Bridge.
Motorists can expect significant delays in the area of the surrounding Interchange including I-91 and Route 34. Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination.
The work to occur is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor improvement Program. Please visit www.i95newhaven.com for more information on Project E2 and B and the other projects for the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program.
