The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the sidewalks under the
Temporary East Sidewalk Closure
When the East Sidewalk (Tokeneke Road Side) is temporarily closed, the West Sidewalk (West Avenue- Station Side) under the bridge will be open for pedestrian access. Pedestrians walking north on the east sidewalk of Route 1 must cross Route 1 using the crosswalk located at Center Street to pass underneath the Railroad Bridge. Pedestrians walking south on the east sidewalk of Route 1 must cross Route 1 using the crosswalk located at West Avenue to pass underneath the Railroad Bridge.
Temporary West Sidewalk Closure When the West Sidewalk (West Avenue Side) is temporarily closed, the East Sidewalk (Tokeneke Road Side) under the bridge will be open for pedestrian access. Pedestrians walking north on the west sidewalk of Route 1 must cross Route 1 using the crosswalk located at Center Street to pass underneath the Railroad Bridge. Pedestrians walking south on the west sidewalk of Route 1 must cross Route 1 using the crosswalk located at West Avenue to pass underneath the Railroad Bridge.
