Town of Darien Department of Public Works Sewer Repair Project on Tokeneke Road (Route 136)
The Town of Darien will repair and replace a section of sanitary sewer pipe on Tokeneke Road (Route 136) in vicinity of Driftway Lane and Harriett Lane. This project will replace a section of sewer prone to breaking.
The traffic pattern has been altered in the area of construction. Please use caution while traveling in this area and be aware of lane shifts. Driftway Lane will be closed to traffic for a day when pipe is being installed. Construction will be completed and traffic pattern restored by October 4, 2010 (or sooner).
Some minor delays in traffic are possible during major equipment movements. Darien Police will be present during interruption in traffic. The majority of work will take place behind barricades allowing traffic to pass unimpeded. Please call the Darien DPW at 203-656-7346 should you have any questions.
