West Rock Tunnel Inspection - Scheduled Closure and Inspection of Route 15 (North & South bound) Between Exits 59 and 60 in New Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that safety inspection work will be performed at night on Route 15 (North & South bound) between Exits 59 and 60 New Haven (West Rock Tunnel) . This project is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 11, 2010 through Thursday, April 15, 2010.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to close Route 15 NB on Sunday April 11th, Monday April 12th, and Tuesday April 13th and direct all traffic through the SB tunnel. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to close Route 15 SB on Wednesday April 14th, and Thursday April 15th and direct all traffic through the NB tunnel. The work schedule for this project is 9:30 PM to 4:30 AM.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
