Whalley Avenue (Route 63) in the Vicinity of Route 69 to be Realigned to its Original Pre-construction Alignment (1 lane SB and two lanes NB) on Tuesday, November 9, 2010
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Whalley Avenue from Glenview Terrace to Westerleigh Road will be realigned to its pre-construction alignment (one lane SB and two lanes NB) on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. This alignment will remain in effect through the winter months until road reconstruction resumes in the spring of 2011.
The contractor has completed construction of a new 12’ X 5’ box culvert, thus allowing the roadway to be returned to its pre-construction alignment.
The work is part of DOT Project No. 0092-0547, for the reconstruction of Route 63 (Whalley Avenue
