Bridge Maintenance on Dennison Road in Essex
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on two bridges located on Dennison Road in Essex (bridges over the Conn. Valley Railroad and Route 9). This project is scheduled to occur Wednesday, September 28, 2011 to Friday, October 21, 2011.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday). However, no work will be performed during the Columbus Day holiday (Monday, October 10, 2011).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
