Milling and Resurfacing Project in Old Saybrook and Essex on Route 9 (Northbound)

TheConnecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 9 (Northbound) in Old Saybrook and Essex between I-95 Northbound and the northbound overpass to Routes 153 and 154 (vicinity of Exit 3). This project is expected to occur on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 through Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Friday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
