Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 8 (Southbound) in Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull and Bridgeport
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 8 (Southbound) in Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull and Bridgeport. Motorists can expect lane closures between Exit 14 (Route 110) in Shelton and Exit 5 (Chopsy Hill Road) in Bridgeport. This project is expected to occur on Sunday, August 7, 2011 to the morning of Friday, September 30, 2011.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday evenings). No work will be performed during the Labor Day Holiday period (Friday - Monday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
