Ramp Closure Scheduled for Route 8 (northbound) at Exit 33 (I-84 west) in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on the Route 8 (northbound) Exit 33 ramp to (I-84 west) in Waterbury. The project will require the Exit 33 ramp to be closed and a posted detour will be in effect. This project is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 6, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Friday evening).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
