Removal of Storm Debris on Route 8 (northbound) in Thomaston

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the removal of storm debris will require lane closures on Route 8 Northbound between Exit 40 (North Main Street) and Exit 41 (Campville Road) in Thomaston. This work is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Saturday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
