Replacement of Bridge Carrying Route 77 (Durham Road) over unnamed brook in the Town of Guilford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Bridge Number 02483 that carries Route 77 (Durham Road) over unnamed brook in the vicinity of Lake Quonnipaug and Lake Drive in Guilford is scheduled to begin Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
The project consists of partial removal of the existing box culvert and removal of the concrete parapets to install upgrades to guide rail systems. The work will also include new abutments and bridge girders with a concrete deck and bituminous concrete wearing surface.

Motorists can expect alternating one-way traffic controlled by temporary signals. Until such time that the temporary signals are installed, motorists can expect lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
DOT Project No. 59-155, was awarded to Brunalli Construction Co. of Southington, CT on January 21, 2011 at a cost of $1,069,537.00 and is scheduled to be completed in May, 2012.
