The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that plans are in development to revise a traffic control signal to improve safety and increase roadway capacity in Tolland at Route 195 (Merrow Road) at Old Post Road
It is the Department’s policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken and it is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project’s development. If there is adequate interest, an information meeting will be conducted. At this time, it is not anticipated that a formal public hearing will be necessary.
The present schedule indicates that the project will be advertised February 9, 2011. The project will be funded with federal monies.
