Various Routes in Eastern Connecticut scheduled for Pavement Marking Applications
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that pavement marking applications will be performed on various routes in Eastern Connecticut. This project is expected to occur Sunday, July 31, 2011 to Thursday, August 11, 2011.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday evenings).
Segments of the following routes are included in this project: Route 14 in Windham and Putnam; Route 44 in Ashford/Eastford; Route 197 in Woodstock/Thompson; Butts Bridge Rd. in Canterbury; Route 1 in Stonington; Route 9 North and South in Essex, Deep River & Chester; and Route 165 in Preston/Griswold.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
