Work Schedule Extended for Bridge Maintenance in North Haven on the CSX Railroad and Quinnipiac River Bridge (Route 40, Northbound)
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the ongoing bridge maintenance being performed on the CSX Railroad and Quinnipiac River Bridge in North Haven on Route 40 (Northbound) in the vicinity of Exit 1 (I-91) will continue to Friday, September 9, 2011.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday). No work will be performed during the Labor Day holiday period (Friday - Tuesday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
