Capitol Avenue in Hartford To Be Closed Friday Evening, October 19 to Monday Morning, October 22, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Capitol Avenue in Hartford will be closed between Forest Street and Laurel Street for the CTfastrak Project No. 0063-0643/0093-0180 also referred to as Contract No. 3. The work is scheduled from Friday night, October 19, 2012 at 8 p.m. to Monday morning, October 22, 2012 at 6:00 a.m.
The purpose of this work is to remove a portion of the bridge that carries Amtrak over Capitol Avenue to be replaced by a new bridge to carry CTfastrak.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is working to inform local residents of current and upcoming construction activities through construction bulletins, press notices, travel alerts, as well as the CTfastrak web site. For more information, please visit www.CTfastrak.com.
