Central Street in Bristol to Be Closed to Thru-Traffic Beginning Monday, June 11, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Central Street in Bristol between Church Avenue and Broad Street will be closed to thru traffic from Monday, June 11, 2012, through Friday, June 15, 2012, in order to reconstruct Central Street.
The project consists of the realignment and full depth reconstruction of Church Avenue at Central Street and includes new sidewalks and drainage.

Signs will be posted to detour thru traffic onto local area roads that include Church Street, Washington Street, Frederick Street, Andrews Street and Broad Street.
DOT Project No. 0017-0143 was awarded to VMS Construction Co. of Vernon, CT at a cost of $267,330.00 on December 2, 2010 and is scheduled to be completed by July 14, 2012.
