Installation of Traffic Counters on I-95 North and Southbound in Greenwich
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the installation of traffic counters will be performed on I-95 North and Southbound in Greenwich. Motorists can expect lane closures between Exit 6 and Exit 4. Southbound is scheduled to be done first, commencing on the evening of Monday, May 14, 2012 and continuing to the morning of Saturday, May 19, 2012. Northbound is scheduled to start the evening of Monday, May 21, 2012 and continue to the morning of Friday, May 25, 2012.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Thursday evenings), and 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Friday evening).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
